Art and design
A Tapestry degree from edinburgh Art college in the 90’s began an Artistic career specialising in mixed media and feltmaking. This led to 18 years of teaching Art in secondary education whilst keeping up my Art practice and raising my daughter. I have always enjoyed working in the community.
Exhibitions have included galleries in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow and there have many private sales and commissions including Art for Hospitals (Artlink) and sales to buyers in Australia and America.
Recent work has included local exhibitions, St Abbs Old School, Marshall Meadows, and Hotel commissions such as the Hope and anchor in Alnmouth. In recent years, disability has impacted on teaching full time, leaving space for drawing again. We now have prints, cards, cushions, art bags, posters, mugs and seasonal gift products.
