Crash

When I look at old pictures of you now I realise how long it took for your illness to get diagnosed . Being unwell as a child and young adult was confusing and alienating. Thankfully, things are getting better now, there is a better understanding of rheumatoid arthritis and immune conditions. Thankyou for staying strong in your understanding of what you needed every one of those tricky years, and staying true to who you were . (We) got through it somehow! and won’t ever stop trying to stay positive no matter what lupus throws next!

You got really good at knowing what you needed around you !

There are two ridiculously annoying reasons why I have had to nurture an incredibly high level of patience recently, a body that chooses to misbehave and an internet that does the same thing. Just as I am mid flow on a project, you can guarantee one or other will crash. Both systems these days are complicated and require the energy to restore to factory settings. I find it is best to appreciate what does work on days like this and pray for a miracle!

Days like the ones I have had recently will come and go, either a flare up will improve or there will be a reason to pursue treatment. But what is important to tell ourselves and our loved ones is that this day is not the sum of our parts, and to remember that even from a bed office , we are still whole and can create more than a little magic !

Love Liz xx
